Feel free to use my “Shoot Plan” template to plan and organize your photo shoots in the best way possible and keep your cool at a busy shoot. This will always keep you focused and structured no matter how big the shoot.

  • First create your timeline for the shoot so you always keep track of time and know what to do next.

  • Think about your location for the first scene you want to shoot. Where is it and what props will you need in that scene.

  • You might have a specific model in mind for a certain scene. Also make sure to plan the outfit and accessories before hand to be on point at the shoot.

  • Collect up to six “Key Shots” that you want to take at the scene as an inspiration to fall back on. If you have too many mood pictures for a scene it can quickly kill the free spirit and your own creativity on set. I figured six “Key Shots” work best for me.

  • If you want to shoot at more than one location just duplicate the slides in this template to create another scene with location, model and key shots.

  • Make sure to print your shoot plan and take it to the shoot. Having it at hand whenever things get busy, is quite the lifesaver.
